Follow instructions for making rice and dal
Vaggarne: saswe, jeerge, hing, turmeric, karabevu, green chilies
Vegetables: carrot, beans, peas, potato, bell pepper. Steam if not from frozen.
Soak tamarind in warm water and extract pulp. Could also use tamarind paste.
Optional (I have recently discovered I prefer not having onions, which lets the spices come out more): saute onions until they turn soft and light brown
Add vegetables and cook for another 1-2 minutes
Add bisi bele bhath powder
